These are some hints and tips that are either not documented, or just hard to find.

General

Quick Queuing (NJB2/3/Zen)

Rather than use the scroller menu for queuing which is somewhat slow, it's possible to use the Play button to queue and start playing an artist/album instantly.

Quick Find

For those who have a large number of artists/albums; enter the Music Library, then select Artist or Album, then hit the find key to access an A - Z list. This will allow you to quickly jump to the required Artist or Album, without having to scroll through the entire list.

Wraparound

Of course the Artist and Album lists wrap around, so if you are after an artist or album that is towards the end of the alphabet just scroll upwards instead.

Resume playback

Just turn off your player while playing, and when you switch it back on it will resume playing from where you last used it (note there is currently a bug with this if you use shuffle repeat where it will resume a different track).

Remember your position

If you press the back button from the Now Playlist list (after queuing tracks from the Music Library) it will go back to the last position in the Music Library, rather than if you enter the Music Library via the Menu button you will have to search again for the last position.

Showing bit-rate

To show the bit-rate of the track go to the Now Playing view, then press the scroller and choose Track Details.

PlayCentre

Playlist Backup

In PlayCentre select a playlist in the "Nomad Jukebox" pane, then select the backup button from the toolbar. This allows you to backup the selected playlist onto the PC. It can be restored at a later time with the restore function, also on the toolbar.

Note that Notmad is also able to backup playlists

Saving Xtreamer Active Queue

If you want to save the contents of the current Active Queue in Xtreamer, open Notmad Explorer and the Active Queue, right-click on the Active Queue and select Add to Playlist > Create New Playlist. Can be very handy when you have queued up a selection of great tunes you would want to save for later.
